Panasonic LUMIX DMC-GF1 adopts the Micro Four Thirds System standard, which was developed as an extended version of the Four Thirds System standard for digital camera systems. Featuring the 4/3-type 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor, bright LUMIX G F1.7/20mm (35mm camera equivalent: 40mm) fixed focus lens, High Definition 1280 x 720 Movie Recording in AVCHD Lite, a format that enables longer recording times backed by the high sound quality of Dolby Digital Creator, built-in flash and a large, 3.0-inch Intelligent LCD with a wide viewing angle and a 460,000-dot resolution, the new My Color mode, which includes seven preset effects and Intelligent Auto Mode with "Peripheral Defocus".
